White Space
White Space follows the stories of four women and four men as they navigate predominantly white spaces on Cape Cod. These are individual narratives rooted in experience—of seeing and being seen, of inclusion and exclusion, of presence and absence. The film invites viewers to witness what it’s like when a space is not built for you, and yet you insist on occupying it.
I conceived White Space as a question—an exploration of representation and the subtle architecture of belonging. In filming these stories, I found myself asking: how do we behave when we’re the only one in the room, and how do we respond when someone else is? This project became less about answers and more about presence—giving space for voices that too often exist in silence.
